Testimonial:

Our family is having a wonderful experience with Chabad of Alexandria-Arlington Hebrew School Home School Program. Our eleven-year-old son reluctantly attended a local congregation's Hebrew School for a number of years but class work was never age appropriate and rarely inspiring. Teachers were well intentioned, but not well qualified. When we found the Chabad of A-A, things quickly got much better.

Rabbi Newman takes his job seriously. He skillfully engages our son by being personable, respectful, and encouraging. He is complimentary of our son's questions and progress, and also patient and honest. Our son finishes his hour-long lesson with a sense of accomplishment. Over the course of a few months, he's learned more Hebrew than in the previous five years. And the Judaic studies lessons have piqued an interest in Judaism we have not seen before. We have more ground to cover, but Rabbi Newman has steered us in the right direction.

For my family and I, this experience is the first real engagement with Chabad. We came here only after our other approaches at Jewish education failed. If we could start over, we would skip those other institutions and headed straight for Chabad.
